Luganodes is pleased to announce its role as staking provider for the Canary Staked INJ ETF (Ticker: INJC), a digital asset exchange-traded fund sponsored by Canary Capital Group LLC. The fund is designed to provide exposure to the price of Injective (INJ), with a secondary objective of earning additional INJ through native staking on the Injective network. The fund trades on The Nasdaq Stock Market.
The fund offers INJ exposure and potential staking yield through a standard brokerage account. Investors do not need to manage digital assets, wallets, or validator relationships.
Injective is a Layer 1 blockchain built for financial applications. Most chains leave order matching and market structure to individual applications. Injective runs them in the chain itself: its exchange module handles orderbook management, trade execution, matching, and settlement onchain, and any application on the network can build on it.
Injective data published by CoinGecko shows roughly $34.4 billion in derivatives volume from January 2025 through June 18, 2026, with real-world asset markets making up about 20% of that total. Since November 11, 2025, the network has also run WebAssembly and EVM smart contracts in one execution environment, an architecture Injective calls MultiVM.
Staking yield on Injective is funded by protocol issuance and, where applicable, transaction fees. The protocol adjusts issuance block by block toward a target of 60% of supply bonded to validators, within bounds set by governance. As of September 15, 2026, about 47.2% of supply was bonded, which held issuance at the 4.40% upper bound.
The network also burns INJ through a monthly Community BuyBack, in which participants commit INJ in exchange for a share of ecosystem revenue. More than 7.1 million INJ had been burned through this mechanism and the earlier Burn Auction as of June 2026.
Canary Capital Group LLC is a digital asset investment firm focused on building institutional-grade products that bridge traditional finance and blockchain networks. The Canary Staked INJ ETF is a Delaware statutory trust listed on Nasdaq.
Key characteristics described in the fund's prospectus include:
The trust holds INJ directly and value it by reference to a CoinDesk pricing benchmark.
Canary administers the staking program and anticipates that at least 90% of the trust's INJ will be staked under normal circumstances.
A digital asset custodian keeps exclusive possession and control of the private keys for staked INJ.
Accrued staking yield is included in the fund's daily net asset value, and yield is generally restaked.
The Injective Foundation indicated its intent to purchase up to $15 million in shares as seed capital, at $25.00 per share.
As staking provider for the Canary Staked INJ ETF, Luganodes operates validator infrastructure supporting the fund's staking program. The custodian keeps the private keys, and the staking provider has no discretion over how much INJ is staked or when. Luganodes' responsibility is the validator itself.
On Injective, validator operations have a direct effect on yield. A validator that falls below the network's liveness threshold is jailed, and INJ delegated to it earns no yield until it returns to the active set. Double-signing permanently bars a validator's consensus key from the active set.
As of September 15, 2026, the network's parameters set the share of stake forfeited for either infraction at zero. Governance can raise that figure at any time, and any increase would apply automatically to INJ already delegated. Undelegated INJ also enters a 21-day unbonding period, during which it earns no yield.
Luganodes runs SOC 2 Type II certified, non-custodial infrastructure with round-the-clock monitoring by SRE teams, and it is GDPR and ISO 27001 aligned. It also serves as staking provider for the Canary Staked SUI ETF and the Canary Staked TRX ETF, and this mandate extends that relationship to a third Canary fund.
The Canary Staked INJ ETF gives investors exchange-traded access to INJ, plus a staking component on a network built for onchain markets. As staking provider, Luganodes runs the validator infrastructure behind that staking component.
Luganodes will continue building validator infrastructure for exchange-traded products as more of them add native staking.
